2011 is the Year of Radiotherapy, a national initiative designed to help improve public understanding and increase awareness of the value of radiotherapy.
The Year is organised by the National Radiotherapy Awareness Initiative, a group of organisations working together to improve awareness of, and access to, radiotherapy services. The Initiative is made up of the RCR, the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR), Cancer Research UK (CRUK), the Institute of Physics & Engineering in Medicine (IPEM), the NHS, and representatives from all UK countries.
