Survey - Do you care about IGRT Training?

Dear Friends
Our department at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata is planning to develop a course on IGRT concepts and applications for trainee radiation oncologists in India. Prior to embarking on a project like this we are conducting a survey of trainees (junior and senior registrars, fellows etc) to assess the scope and demand for IGRT training in India. Can I request you to participate in this survey and also forward this link to other trainees you know. We are hoping for as many participants as possible. The survey is on till Dec 22nd.

Since this is a training Indranil how about we look out of the conventional paradigm in RO and try something new? Have you heard of Dimdim and moodle?

We do plan to make it online training. Using an LMS like Moodle and lots of mutimedia is exactly what we have planned. Let's see if it works out.

IGRT Protocol development

Dear Collegues,
There is a need to develop/ agree on protocols for imaging in IGRT considering the following issues:
1. Differences with different sites and technique employed
2. The type of registeration/ fusion (manual or automated)
3. Bony vs soft tissue vs fiducial matching
4. Which bony, soft tissue landmarks to take
5. The correction strategy (offline, daily online corrections)
6. When to do autoshift vs shift on markers
7. Threshold for calling physician and physicist Frequancy of imaging in different sites
These issues may be different for different vendor solutions with different resolutions
