I've recently joined as Consultant in the upcoming Radiotherapy department at Westbank Hospital, Howrah, West Bengal. Ours will be an Elekta setup with conv/3DCRT/IMRT and CT simulator to start off with, with HDR brachytherapy to be commissioned once we get the department underway. Radiotherapy will be part of a new & extensive Oncology division within the hospital.
I've been informed by the MD of our hospital that they are looking to recruit more Oncology specialists immediately and have advertised for the same-the positions are for:
Medical Oncologist (full-time),
Hemato-oncologist (full/ part time) and
Head & Neck Surgical Oncologist.
