I found this website http://www.annotate.org/#top that supposedly allows us to contour and collaborate on DICOM images in real time. will test it out over the weekend and report
Excellent stuff, very handy, thanks

worked out how to draw a contour?
there is also a ASTRO site with same capability by very RO oriented. Can't remember its name though, I'll ask around.
Nope not yet. Registered but not working well with Firefox
It works on IE. But I don't know whether you have the facility to contour a series of consecutive images. Probably not since this is an annotation tool. Pretty useful though.
Anyone remember the name of the website that ASTRO uses for its e-Contouring sessions??
This by any chance?

Haven't been to ASTRO yet so really dont know. However I did try it offhand yesterday night. Here is the review :
- Contouring part works with the pen thing though lines are rather squiggly. Rudimentary software for windowing present though.
- No autocontouring tools present neither any interpolation
- Uploading software not working with wine on linux or windows xp in virtual box. If we can't upload cases we are stuck with the public cases already uploaded. after several hours of trying not working. no error log to trouble shoot hate windows apps… grr
- Despite being announced last year no Adobe AIR runtime available for download yet
- Site looks unfinished with no contact address and help available
- Last post seems to be in 2009 .. I dont know if the site is even being developed
- Did not get to see how we could use it as a collaborative contouring platform as it allows two sets of contouring.. one by author and another by the person doing it at the moment. No it is possible but the interface makes it hard to find
Another solution which I think may prove viable in terms of real time online contouring in a collaborative fashion is using a white board based solution. There are many of these there. Here is an embed from dabbleboard for example
