						 <p>All patients with nondisseminated medulloblastoma should undergo complete resection if feasible. a discussion with a neuro surgeon is a must. Resection if possible should be allowed. It may also help in relieving the symptoms also.<br /> This should be followed by CSI.</p> <p>Also ependymomas can be seen around the same area. so a histopath diagnosis will help.</p> <p>If he is inoperable.. may need adjuvant chemotherapy also</p> <p>There has been anecdotal reports of abdominal mets. But I guess that is not the primary issue.</p>

						 <p>4 year old boy presented with complaints of vomiting , head ache in April end. MRI brain revealed SOL in vermis and medial R cerebellar region. Suspect Medulloblastoma. CSF negative for malignant cells.<br /> VP shunt placed in May. Primary lesion untouched.</p> <p>Boy referred for RT now.</p> <p>No tissue biopsy available.</p> <p>What is role of RT alone in medulloblastoma?</p> <p>Can VP shunt placed result in metastasis into abdomen ?</p>
